BBQ Sauce is my top of the list favorite sauce. Why? Because it’s an all purpose sauce where I can use it basically on anything. I can use it as a dip, marinade, basting for grilled meat, sauce and many more!
Filipinos loves BBQ. It’s a very common street food where you can find it anywhere especially during nighttime. Street vendors flock on the street during the night putting up their food stall, tables and chairs for the customers and start selling their best BBQ all night. The very common sauce use for BBQ is a combination of soy sauce, vinegar, calamansi and red chili. However some vendors are highly known by the locals because of their signature BBQ sauce and people constantly returning because of the sauce!
On this video I made a very simple Filipino inspired BBQ sauce. It’s sweet and tangy and the soy sauce gives it a more distinct Filipino flavor. I added a combination of brown sugar and honey that adds a unique sweet taste to the sauce. Hope you enjoy my recipe and I can’t wait for you to try them! Stay cooking.
